The yearly membership fee is $55.00, plus the cost fo the life insurance co-payment. Membership year is June 1 to May 31 of the next year.
There is a special first-year half-price membership fee to new graduates: $27.50 plus the life insurance co-payment.
Active: Licensed Veterinary Technicians licensed by the State of New
York are active members of the association.
Associate: Associate membership is open to those individuals who have
exhibited an interest in Animal Health and who will have all the
privileges of licensed members except for voting.
Student: Student membership is open to students currently enrolled in
an accredited veterinary technology program.
$10,000 Life Insurance Policy:
NYSAVT offers a $10,000 Life Insurance Policy through Great West for
Active members. The cost to you is an additional $15.00 annually. Should

Life Insurance Option: Checking yes for pay copay means: You will pay half: ($15.00), NYSAVT will pay the other half of the cost of the Life Insurance.
