Dear Members & Supporters: We hope this message finds you well—and achieving success as a New York State LVT. We are reaching out today to provide you updates and seek your input. As you know, we truly believe in the mission and value of our professional association and the important role it plays in informing, educating, and advocating for our members and the LVTs across the Empire State. Over the years, our cadre of volunteer leaders has declined, but the work continues to be there and needs to be done. As the old adage goes: “Many hands make light work.” NYSAVT is seeking your help. Would you consider volunteering some of your time or talent to helping us build-up our association? We are looking for people to serve on the Board and committees—or lend a hand with some projects, such as: - Social Media Postings & Platform
- Serving as our Executive Director or Administrator
- Website Maintenance
- Community Outreach
- Student Chapters and Ambassadors
- District Representation
- Researching Best Practices
- Upholding the Regulatory Standards of the Profession
- OR do you have any idea for service or assistance?
We will train anyone who steps forward and will be glad to help match the right opportunity with the right volunteer! We are also evaluating our member benefits and how we deliver them in an efficient and economical manner. To this end, we are not holding an in-person Spring Seminar this year. We are pleased to announce that we will offer a Mini-Virtual-Summer Seminar on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Please mark your calendar and we will have details out shortly. We know everyone is very busy and want to stay connected—so we are looking to offer these kind of seminars several times a year. If you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can build-up our association, we would like to hear from you. Please use this form: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NYSAVTHelp Thank you for your presence and support of NYSAVT. Sincerely, The Board of Directors Thomas Heckel LVT, BS - President Sarah Fabrizio, LVT – Vice President Martha Byard, LVT, VTS (SAIM) - Treasurer Alyse Retallick, LVT, BS - Secretary
